Gold Points for Switch software
Starting in early March, gamers will be able to spend accumulated Gold Points from My Nintendo on software for the Nintendo Switch. The service update will be available for use in the Nintendo eShop or via Nintendo’s website to Switch owners in Japan, Europe and North America. Remaining balances can also be paid with eShop funds or any other compatible payment method. Gold points can also be spent up to a year after accumulation, so gamers are in no rush to spend them.
Snapchat stress
Popular social media app Snapchat rolled out its biggest redesign since the app launched in 2011. Snapchat is now split into two sections, consolidating friend content on the left side, media content on the right and installing a slew of other design changes.
The vast majority of Snapchat’s massive user base is outraged at the update, and they are already desperately trying to get the old version back via fake tweets and online petitions that have reached millions of signatures in a mere matter of days. Snapchat currently has no intention of reverting back to the previous design, urging their community to just settle in and enjoy it.
OJ outrage
Actor Sacha Baron Cohen has sparked outrage after a report claimed he paid O.J. Simpson more than $20,000 for an appearance in an upcoming movie. Cohen is known for his outrageous stunts, yet his hiring of Simpson has been deemed inappropriate by many on social media and by the families of Nicole Brown-Simpson and Ron Goldman. Simpson was acquitted of their murders in 1995. Cohen has yet to release any comment on his casting decision.
A-list 60th bash

Music stars also joined in the fun, including Jennifer Lopez, Pharrell, Adele and Pink. The party, complete with a VIP guest list that matched the Golden Globes or Oscars, was organized by Degeneres’ loved ones, including wife Portia and friends.
