Apples to Apples

Many things symbolize that autumn has arrived; leaves changing colors, pumpkins and shorter days, but few are as tradition-based as a trip to the cider mill. Each and every year, between late August through mid-November, cider mills, like Parmenter’s open their doors to thousands of patrons who are hungry for warm donuts and fresh cider. Parmenter’s has been serving loyal patrons each autumn ever since they were first established in 1873. What originally began as a vinegar-producing mill has grown into a massive apple cider mill that specializes in some of Metro Detroit’s best apple cider, donuts and now wine. Parmenter’s may be small but it has a lot to offer. From pumpkins to arts and crafts, there is something for everyone. A day at the cider mill is the best way to spend a fall afternoon with family and friends.  Load up the family and take a trip to your local cider mill.
