Motor City Comedy Festival is a nonprofit focused on standup, with a primary performance of a weekend of comedy shows with spotlights on the strength of comedy coming up through and beyond the Midwest. The Detroit Petanque Club has been playing at Campus Martius/Cadillac Square for over 15 Years; they play weekdays from noon to 1 p.m. near the Detroit Parks at Campus Martius. The Holocaust Memorial Center Zekelman Family Campus accounced its newest exhibit, “Kindertransport–Rescuing Children on the Brink of War.” Created and coordinated by Yeshiva University Museum and the Leo Baeck Institute, the exhibit spotlights the organized rescue effort that brought thousands of Jewish children to Great Britain in the late 1930s.
