Band makes Michigan stop Friday
By Elizabeth Casella
It’s time to party hard and get pumped up. The post-hardcore band Silverstein brings its tour to The Crowfoot in Pontiac this Friday Jan. 16. The band is currently on their Discover the Waterfront- 10 year anniversary tour recognizing the extreme success of the sophomore album. After fifteen years as a band, Silverstein still loves the sound of the music from their roots. The set will include the album performed in its entirety along with some of the bands greatest hits and brand new songs.
Silverstein was formed in 2000 in Ontario, Canada. They have released six albums so far and sold over 1 million albums worldwide. The band is currently signed with a new label called Rise Records and are working on their seventh album, set to be released in the spring. The band consists of vocalist Shane Told, drummer Paul Koehler, guitarist Josh Bradford, bassist Billy Hamilton, and guitarist Paul-Marc Rousseau.
Vocalist Shane Told shares with his fans, “10 years later we still feel so passionate about Discovering The Waterfront. A lot of times as a musician you go back and listen to your old work and wish you could change some things, but with Discovering I still feel like everything is in the right place.”
