Motor City Comedy Festival is a nonprofit focused on standup, with a primary performance of a weekend of comedy shows with spotlights on the strength of comedy coming up through and beyond the Midwest. Shows are taking place at Detroit Shipping Company (Midtown), Ant Hall (Hamtramck), The Sanctuary (Hamtramck) and The Independent Comedy Club (Hamtramck).

A game similar to the Italian Bocce, Petanque (Pay-Tonk) is a French sport that has been in action worldwide, for over a century. The Detroit Petanque Club has been playing at Campus Martius/Cadillac Square for over 15 Years; they play weekdays from noon to 1 p.m. near the Detroit Parks at Campus Martius. It’s no cost to you, and they bring all the equipment. See you there!

The Holocaust Memorial Center Zekelman Family Campus accounced its newest exhibit, “Kindertransport–Rescuing Children on the Brink of War.” Created and coordinated by Yeshiva University Museum and the Leo Baeck Institute, the exhibit spotlights the organized rescue effort that brought thousands of Jewish children to Great Britain in the late 1930s.
