14 athletes earn awards from MCCAA and NJCAA

The Michigan Community College and the National Junior College Athletics Association recently released its post season player awards. The Ocelots had a total of 14 athletes honored from the Men’s Soccer, Women’s Soccer and Volleyball teams for the 2021 season for their on the field efforts. The following is a list of awards and recipients.
2021 MCCAA Men’s Soccer Awards
NJCAA Division II Men’s Soccer All-American Third Team
Midfielder Mohammed Hammoud earned Third Team All-American Honors. Hammoud scored four goals and 11 assists for 19 points in 12 matches for the Ocelots. He attempted 17 shots with 12 of them on goal.

Women’s Soccer Awards 2021-22
NJCCAA Division II Women’s Soccer All-American
Forward Ceceilya Mernatti earned Honorable Mention All-American honors. Mernatti had 10 goals and eight assists in 14 games. Mernatti took 57 shots, 44 of which were on goal and had three game winning goals for the Ocelots.
Merantti also won First Team All-Region, First Team All-Conference and All Freshman Team.
Taylor Meadows won First Team All-Region, First Team All-Conference and All Freshman Team.
Liv Dangel won Second Team All-Conference.
Kenzie Hare won Honorable Mention All-Conference.
Neysa Lyon won Honorable Mention All-Conference.
