The Schoolcraft Connection celebrates Black History Month with the Office of Equity and Engagement by looking back at the final event of the MLK series hosted on January 12, 2023. This event featured Hakim Nathaniel Crampton, Commissioner on the Michigan Indigent Defense Commission and also the first formerly incarcerated person appointed to a State Commission. Crampton has spent the last 15 years advocating for juvenile and education justice, mentoring thousands of Michigan students across the State.
