The Schoolcraft Ocelots welcomed in the Triceratops from Tri-C in hopes to push their winning streak to 4 games.
After the opening tip-off, Schoolcraft would quickly jump out to a 6-2 lead over the first 2 minutes of the contest. Over the next 7 minutes of the game, Cuyahoga would show off their offense and be ahead by a score of 18-15. After a quick Triceratops run, Cuyahoga would push their lead to 13 points as they would lead 28-15 with 7:40 left in the 1st half. A timeout by Schoolcraft would prove to turn the tide of the game. For the rest of the 1st half, Schoolcraft would be able to keep Cuyahoga off of the scoreboard and not only tie the game up, but lead the contest by 9 points, 37-28, at the half. It was a resilient effort; much we have seen throughout the early season. That Ocelot run to end the 1st half would prove to be a 22-0 run.
Cuyahoga came into this contest as the 2nd highest scoring offense in the country. That offense would become known as the Triceratops would put up 49 points in the 2nd half to put the Ocelots up for the test. Schoolcraft would not back down from the fight. Schoolcraft would trade blows for blows throughout the 2nd half and would prove to be the more potent offense on the night by outscoring Cuyahoga again in the 2nd half with 57 total Ocelot points. Schoolcraft came into the game only averaging 72.6 PPG, but the Ocelots knew the offense would have to come alive to win the game and it sure did. Cuyahoga would make the game interesting with 3:40 left after a made layup cut the Ocelot lead to only 6 points. A quick 5-1 Ocelot run would push the lead back to double digits and it would never get back to single digits. As the final buzzer rang, it was Schoolcraft on top by a score of 94-77.
Th Ocelot offense was mainly a 2 headed monster throughout the contest. Mackhi Jacksonwould lead the offense in the 1st half with 15 points on his way to 28 total points. Daniel Leewould lead the way in the 2nd half with 20 points on his way to 26 total points. Lee would also register another double-double with his team leading 11 rebounds. Marshall Thorn would also pitch in 15 points and 6 rebounds.
