The Ocelots returned to the floor looking for their first conference play win following some close calls.
Things would prove to be tough on the offensive end for both teams in the 1st half. With 7 minutes to play in the 1st half, the score would only read 15-6, in favor of Oakland. The Ocelots would end the half on an 18-15 run to go into the break trailing 30-24. J’Vohn Walker led the way for Schoolcraft in the 1st half with 11 points on 4/5 shooting.
Schoolcraft would come out of the locker room with some adjustments made. Over the first 5:25 seconds of the half, Schoolcraft would go on a 13-4 run to take a 3-point lead following a Walker jumper. Once the Owls took the lead at the 6:33 mark, Schoolcraft would be unable to get it back. Over the last 10 minutes of the game, the Ocelots would be outscored by 8 points, leading to a 16-point defeat.
Walker would lead the team in points with 22 and Marshall Thorn would be the only other Ocelot in double figures with 10 points. Thorn would lead the team in rebounds with 10, marking his 5th double-double of the year.
Schoolcraft travels to Henry Ford (12-5,2-2) on Saturday looking for their first conference win of the year. Tip-off is slated to be at 3:00PM.
