Schoolcraft College’s annual STEAM@Schoolcraft event is back for its sixth year, inviting students, faculty, staff, and community members to explore the interconnectedness of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) in real-world applications. Hosted by the Center for Experiential Learning and Learning Support Services, this student-led event provides a platform for participants to share innovative ideas, research, and experiences that highlight academic and professional success.
This year’s theme, “Bridging Disciplines, Building Futures,” encourages students to think beyond traditional subject boundaries and consider how different fields complement each other to shape the future. Through original presentations, activities, and poster displays, students showcased their work, demonstrating how the fusion of the arts, humanities, and sciences fosters creativity, problem-solving, and career readiness.
Participants received mentorship from Schoolcraft College faculty and staff, guiding them to craft engaging and thought-provoking submissions. The event not only celebrated student achievements but also offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable presentation experience, network with professionals, and explore pathways to higher education or the workforce.
By attending STEAM@Schoolcraft, visitors witnessed firsthand how interdisciplinary collaboration fuels innovation, creativity, and success. Whether you’re a student eager to present your ideas, a faculty member looking to support learners, or a community member interested in the future of education, this event exemplified a rich exchange of knowledge and inspiration.
