Navratri is one of the most vibrant and widely celebrated Hindu festivals in India, especially in the state of Gujarat. The word Navratri means “nine nights” — it is a festival dedicated to the worship of the nine forms of Goddess Durga (Shakti). During these nine days and nights, people observe fasting, prayers, and traditional dances — the most famous being Garba and Dandiya Raas.
