Welcome to the Schoolcraft Connection’s video series titled, “Reality Ready™.”  Reality Ready™ is a campus wide initiative to get students prepared for the workforce by equipping students with intellectual and behavioral skills needed to win in the workforce. The Connection’s video series highlights industry professionals from a variety of career paths speaking about their personal experiences of how they started their career and advice they would give to students who are interested in pursing similar careers.

In Episode 2, Connection Multimedia Editor Armando Saucedo and Ben Bolstrum, New Editor for the Connection,  sit down with Sydney Blackman, an New Media Coordinator. Sydney Blackman has been working in New Media and Communications for a little while now, she’s worked with the Arizona Coyotes, Los Angeles Dodgers, and also was the Communications Manager at USA Hockey. Now she’s working as New Media Coordinator for the Pittsburg Penguins.

Anyone interested in pursing a career in communications or just want to learn more about what it takes to be in the field should watch.
