Sometimes the best laid plans go astray. Unfortunately, this year due to the MDHHS restrictions, the annual Empty Bowl fundraiser had to pivot its scheduled format. This year the event is going virtual and runs from December 4 through 17. Here is how you can help us raise funds to support the Schoolcraft College Food Pantry.

The following steps will take you through the virtual viewing and purchasing options.

1) Visit our virtual gallery at https://youtu.be/mrhDDYKI2b4. Take some time to look through the slideshow featuring student work from our Ceramics classes.

2) Each bowl is numbered and priced accordingly. Once you find the bowl you like to purchase, go to https://bit.ly/ocelotfoodpantry.

3) On the landing page designate the bowl purchase amount under the “Donation Amount”. Next select the frequency of “One Time”. Change the designation to “Student Food Pantry”. In the “Comments” box indicate it’s for “Empty Bowl Donation” and include the Bowl number you would like to purchase. Proceed to fillout your contact information and payment.

4) After you have paid, we would like to encourage our patrons to list the pieces by number that they are “taking off of the shelf”. This way we can be sure that we are not selling a piece twice. Please review the comments section to see what is still available in real time. If it’s off the shelf, it is gone.

5) To pick up your bowl, setup a time on December 17 or 18 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. for curbside pickup of your purchase. Call 734-462-4442 to make your appointment.

6) If you would like to just donate monetary funds, go to https://bit.ly/ocelotfoodpantry and designate Student Food Pantry and your donation. For questions, contact the Student Activities Office at 734-462-4422 or email [email protected].

Thank you for your support! 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Schoolcraft Student Food Pantry and students in need.
