Congresswoman Haley Stevens hosts Workforce/Apprenticeship Summit, April 8

Finding the right job over the past year and beyond may have been a struggle, but the future challenge can still be alleviated. This is why Congresswoman Haley Stevens will be hosting an upcoming free Workforce Development and Apprenticeship Summit that will be held Thursday, April 8, from 1 to 3 p.m.

The event will be split up into three separate sections that examine several different avenues potential workers may explore. These sections all vary in their proficiencies, but each are pivotal and valued professions to enhance infrastructure and society as a whole. There will be plenty of varied information for all involved as viewers can expect a showcase of opportunities that may be taken advantage of explained by various speakers who are experienced in their trade. Some of these will include “federal, state and local leaders from the education, skilled trades, public and private sectors.” according to the RSVP website.

AGENDA:

1 p.m. – 1:05 p.m.: Introductory Remarks from Congresswoman Stevens

1:05 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.: SESSION 1 – Career and Technical Education and Apprenticeships

1:50 p.m. to 2:10 p.m.: SESSION 2 – Women in Manufacturing and Trade

2:15 p.m. to 2:55 p.m.: SESSION 3 – Resources and Opportunities for Individuals Interested in Skilled Trades

2:55 p.m. – 3 p.m.: Closing Remarks from Congresswoman Haley Stevens

This summit will also have a questions and answers portion for each section so anybody with comments, questions, concerns or issues they would like to voice are more than welcome to do so. With many people attending, admissions are finite so those interested in expanding their opportunities as a worker should sign up before time runs out.
