Come one, come all

Annual School Daze set for this Wednesday and Thursday

Elyse Salmon, Staff Writer

The Student Activities Office will host its annual School Daze event this Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 18 and 19 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., located under the Big Top Tent between the Forum and Liberal Arts buildings.

If you are interested in learning more about student clubs and organizations, student services or simply looking for a place to hang out with friends, consider attending the School Daze Festival where you can enjoy food, entertainment and games, as well as local businesses and organizations that will be present to talk about what they can offer to the community.
“The goal of this event is to recruit and direct students to the various clubs and opportunities at Schoolcraft College. With about 140 tables, it should be a big party,” commented Director of Student Activities, Todd Stowell.
The festival will feature fan favorites such as the volleyball court (coordinated by the National Guard), Kona Ice Truck, “Minute to Win It” games on the main stage, psychic readings, Henna tattoos and more.
The dynamic circus entertainer, Eric Scott Baker, is set to wow the crowds at noon on both days of the fair. Additionally, fair attendees can test their agility on the rock-climbing wall provided by the U.S. Army or attempt a jailbreak from the rooms provided by Zap Zone and Escape Room Zone.
Lastly, students can also try the ‘ARDDES’ and ‘Aware 3’, simulators designed to display real-life scenarios of drinking and driving and distracted drivers.
Come see what the excitement is all about and stop by this year’s School Daze Festival.
