To those of you returning to campus, welcome back to another promising year at Schoolcraft and for those who are beginning their first semester, welcome to college.
With the start of a new school year comes many new faces, not just to campus but to the Schoolcraft Connection as well. This year we are welcoming several new members of the Editorial Team including Matthew Armstrong as production assistant, Kevin O’Neil as Arts & Entertainment Editor and Armando Saucedo as videographer. We are also welcoming Madison Ling as Campus Life Editor and Cody Yarbrough as Sports Editor, both of whom began with the Connection as staff writers.
New members of the Editorial Team are not the only thing we are welcoming back to the Connection. Readers who are familiar with past issues of the paper will notice that we are bringing back a few favorites such as Ocelot Opinions, diversions and comics. Finally, we will be working hard to increase circulation and our presence on social media with the implementation of a new marketing strategy, so watch out Ocelots, the Connection is coming in hot this year!
Finally, the staff of the Schoolcraft Connection want to encourage you to make the most of your experience while at Schoolcraft. Take some time to visit the Student Activities Office to see the list of clubs and opportunities available to get involved on campus. We also encourage you to follow us on social media or visit our online publication at schoolcraftconnection.com to #stayconnected with current events both on and off campus, read interesting editorials written by the Connection staff and more.
