Sweater weather and pumpkin spice is usually what comes to mind for many as Fall begins to blow its way into town, reminding people of just how beautiful it can be to let things go during this time of year to spend time with family or friends, taking a stroll through a pumpkin patch or apple orchard. Whatever the case may be, there are plenty of opportunities around Michigan to make this harvest time of the year super fruitful.

Located in New Boston, Apple Charlie’s has been a longtime family tradition for many continuously providing visitors with the sweet taste of autumn as they offer a selection of their famous donuts and cider throughout the season. This orchard is ripe for the pickin’ as they grow a variety of apples grown on dwarf trees to provides easy access to visitors. Moreover, Apple Charlie’s offers hayrides, access to a very abundant pumpkin patch, petting farm and gift shop complete with a bakery, honey and cider.

DeBuck’s Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch is a little hidden gem located off Martz Road in Belleville, Michigan To kick off the beginning of each season, DeBuck’s holds their annual Sunflower Festival where visitors are able to pick their own sunflowers. For just $20, a person can fill a bucket with as many sunflowers as they can, no matter how big or small. While the you-pick sunflower portion of the season ends mid-September, visitors are able to access their giant corn maze throughout the season.
