Much of the campus operations has changed in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, converting to online to conduct business. The Bookstore is no exception.
Due to Gov. Whitmer’s Stay Home, Stay Safe order, all 3 physical campus locations remain closed until the order is lifted and when all 3 physical stores are ready to open, with due consideration to the health and safety of patrons.
Students can still do business through the online store at schoolcraftbooks.com, where the purchase of all available materials are currently being handled. Students who are using Financial Aid for online purchases can utilize funds from April 20 to June 1.
To the relief of students, book buyback has been updated.
“We have partnered with our used textbook wholesaler, Nebraska Book Company, to offer a buyback program to those students who wish to sell unneeded (non-rented) textbooks”, said the Bookstore in a recent Facebook post.

Even better, rental return deadlines for the Winter Semester have been extended out to June 4. “We hope to be able to collect returns in a manner that is safe both for our employees and customers.” said Lyndsay Tagarel, Bookstore Director. “We are filling orders regularly so processing times should be normal.” Shipping times are subject to delays, however, so the Bookstore has already placed Spring 2020 textbooks on sale, with summer textbooks expected to arrive as early as April 27.
The only things that students need to do to get the books and access keys that they need is to visit schoolcraftbooks.com. Students are encouraged to email [email protected] for any additional questions.
