In October of 2019, construction began on the warehouse that would soon become home to Schoolcraft’s skilled trades programs. The Manufacturing and Engineering Center (MEC), is a 48,000 square-foot facility that reflects the real-world environment future tradesmen and women will work in.

As the Fall 2020 semester fast approached, the building’s finishing touches were being added. The Connection got an inside look at Schoolcraft’s newest building back in August, touring it with the President of the college, Dr. Glenn Cerny. Now the building is fully operational and provides an exceptional learning environment to Schoolcraft’s students.
