One of Schoolcraft’s most prestigious events is returning after a two year hiatus following the 2020 pandemic.

Those looking to see what it’s like behind the scenes of the culinary program, and what exactly put Schoolcraft at the top will get the chance to find out this Thursday, February 24 between 6-8 p.m.

Located in the VisTaTech Center, students and faculty of Schoolcraft’s award-winning Culinary Arts and Brewing and Distillation Technology programs will cater an extravagant strolling dinner for those lucky enough to snag a ticket.

“Guests will not only enjoy the wonderful food and brew that will be prepared, but they’ll go right into the kitchens as the students and chefs work to prepare and display a sumptuous array of specialties from charcuterie to pastries,” said Director of the Annual Giving and Scholarship Administration Carole Booms. “It’s a rare opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at the facility, the equipment and all the creativity and passion that goes into making these programs such an important part of Schoolcraft’s curriculum.”

Ice-carving demonstrations will also be held outside the event, weather permitting, so be sure to dress appropriately. Additionally, Dr. Glenn Cerny will give an important announcement regarding the future of the VisTaTech Center as a notable meeting spot within the community.

In regards to the Covid-19 pandemic, the event will be hosted under a limited capacity and will be socially distanced. Tickets will not be sold at the door, so be sure to register in advance for this exciting, exclusive event. You can contact the Foundation at 734-462-4455 or [email protected] or go to scf.schoolcraft.edu to pre-order your tickets. There are numerous ticket options available starting at $150. Proceeds from the event will go toward enhancing scholarship and grant opportunities for students through the Schoolcraft College Foundation.
