Ocelots season comes to an end
Women’s basketball lose nailbiter to Lakeland, 69-66 in the the NJCAA Great Lakes District A semifinals

After defeating Oakland Community College on Tuesday, March 7 in the NJCAA Great Lakes District A Women’s Basketball Quarterfinals, the team advanced to play the #20 Lakeland Lakers in the semifinal round of the Great Lakes District A Women’s Basketball tournament at Ballenger Fieldhouse in Flint.
Despite a valiant effort the Ocelots fell short to the Lakers, 69-66, ending the Ocelots season just two wins shy of National Tournament berth.
High scorers for the game were Eve Parrish (13 points), Ruby Garner (12 points ), Sydney McCraig (12 points) and Malaya Thomas (10 points). Thomas also let the Ocelots in minutes played with 38.
