As the academic year draws to a close, Schoolcraft College is preparing to celebrate its latest class of achievers.
The annual Grad Fair is scheduled to take place at the Schoolcraft Bookstore, serving as the essential one-stop shop for all students participating in the upcoming 61st Annual Commencement Ceremony.
The event will be held over two days to accommodate varying student schedules:
- Wednesday, April 22: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- Thursday, April 23: 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
For many, the fair is more than just a logistical stop for regalia, it is a moment to reflect on the personal growth experienced on campus.
“I am taking Schoolcraft with me forever,” shared graduating student Joao Espadoto. “The academic learning was immense, but what truly stayed with me was the empathy. My peers and professors were incredibly kind and helpful through every challenge.”
The Grad Fair is the primary location for prospective graduates to pick up required regalia, including caps, gowns and tassels. Additionally, students can claim their commencement tickets during these hours. Schoolcraft policy remains firm for the May ceremony: every guest must present a ticket for entry, with a maximum of four tickets allocated per graduate.
“Leaving here is a mix of emotions. I feel so lucky to have had professors who didn’t just lecture, but truly went out of their way to help us succeed. That atmosphere of everyone being so polite and ready to lend a hand made this journey much easier,” said graduating student Jevaughn Harris.
Beyond the essentials, the fair offers several services to help students commemorate their journey:
- Professional Headshots: Available on-site for those looking to update their portfolios or capture a final collegiate memory.
- Announcements and Frames: Students may order official graduation announcements and select diploma frames to showcase their hard-earned credentials.
Following the Grad Fair, the 2026 Commencement Ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 9, at 1:00 p.m. at the TrinityElite Sports Center on the main Livonia campus.
